About the Alum Association Collection

We've been talking about it for years and we've finally taken the plunge to create a line of merchandise for our alum community! We have partnered with Branksome alum Darci MACPHEE Barrett '99 to take you on a walk down memory lane.

Keep Well the Road

For this collection our focus was to return to our roots by bringing Ribbit out of hibernation and a bit of colour and new life to our classic branding. More importantly, we have not forgotten our ever famous mantra... keep well the road!

Eco-Conscious

We focused on finding suppliers and items that were environmentally conscious, classic, and super cozy. We know you will love this collection as much as we do and we encourage you to be proud of where you came from!

Working with local artists and printers

To celebrate our Toronto roots, we have focused on working with local artists and printers. We collaborated with Melanie, an incredible local artist who specializes in airbrushing. For some items in our collection, Melanie wanted to give a total graffiti feel with soft yet bold lines to create a line that is a bit more fun. Our other items are also printed by a printer based in Toronto.

Supporting the Alum Association Endowed Bursary

Any profits from the collection go straight to the Alum Association and the Alum Association Endowed Bursary Fund. The Bursary provides needs-based student financial assistance to deserving girls who wish to attend Branksome, but whose families are unable to afford the full cost of tuition. About Alternative Apparel

Alternative Apparel has been making eco-clothing since before eco-clothing was a thing. With their Eco Line, the company has been keeping textile waste out of landfills. Better still, it has avoided the additional pesticide use that comes with growing brand-new cotton.

About Darci MACPHEE Barrett '99

The designs in the Branksome alum collection were executed by our very own Darci MacPhee Barrett... otherwise known by Made by Darci! After leaving Branksome, Darci headed to Ryerson University for a degree in fashion design and opened her own boutique after graduating. After focusing on her 3 boys for a few years, she has re-entered the fashion world designing unique and custom pieces for her clients.
